Africa burns, US buckles
Today the US Congress started counting and processing their strange “Electoral college” vote process. It is the 6th of January 2021 and there’s a disturbance in the force.
Across the globe we peer around the corners of our regional perspectives and look out to the United States of America and shudder. Surely not them too! From over here on the tip of Africa, “irregularities” and the greedy power-grabs are second nature.
We watched for decades while Robert Mugabe pulled exactly the same stunts year after year to stay in power. Sure, his efforts were less sophisticated – his soldiers would round up people and make them vote at gun-point for his ongoing Emperorship, and vote-counting was merely a public pacifier. Anyone who spoke out against him got shot and since he cleverly had the “dirt” on all the regions political powers of his age, no one spoke against him. Instead, his citizens fled to neighboring countries as he raped and pillaged Zimbabwe’s coffers and destroyed its economy – and it’s never recovered.
So from Africa we look over to the US and shrug, so they got themselves a Robert Mugabe passe? Alright! So it seems that Africa was not at the back of the curve after all, seems we were on the leading edge and America is just catching up.
Anyone who watches mainstream media these days is voluntarily deluded. With the number of lies I’ve personally caught them in up to a decade ago, you really need to be a moron to believe there’s any form of truth reflected there. But it seems there are a lot of these seemingly sophisticated morons on that part of that continent that keep these platforms alive. But what would you expect when you allow the education system to degrade so badly? Was that strategic? Dumb people down and then feed them over-dramatic nonsense? Our education systems in Africa have been edging ahead of those on that continent for decades now which some of us noted in passing but did not recognize the significance of.
The gift in Africa is how little people have and therefore how little they have to lose. If what is going on in the USA today were to happen anywhere in Africa tomorrow that country would have erupted into Civil War two days after the certification of the obviously fraudulent election results.
Our governments would never be so blatantly corrupt as a result. In Africa, you steal an election force-first or with lies. You actually get people to VOTE for the wrong people, and then they live with the result. Some of that obviously went on over there as clearly half the country are plugged into the propaganda machines and suckling at the teat of misinformation across all the legacy media. And that strategy we all understand, across the world propaganda machines are busily herding the sheep to a desired state of mind.
But the outlandish additional combination of all types of “irregularities” from technological manipulation to paper-dumps and hidden adjudication counts are so blatant, many of us across the world who do our own research and are disconnected from the garbage-machines of legacy media watch in stunned silence. Sure, the propaganda machine shows none of it but any person with a phone and an internet connection can find the reports that lay out all the nonsense clearly. I am no math genius but even I know that an election is an additive process and one candidate backsliding while the other gains the same number of votes is a huge problem.
Just recently in South Africa it was uncovered that politicians stole most of the COVID-plan-demic relief funds. The reverberations almost took us to mass riots and strikes and I think would have, were we not simultaneously under lockdowns. At least our courts are still semi-conscious; while still trying to be politically correct, lockdowns here have been declared unconstitutional, so our Government now has to resort to curfews and alcohol bans to punish unruly citizenry. By comparison, the US courts are AWOL. Missing in Action or worse – bought and paid for.
So if the Chinese Communist Party and their Cabal friends can successfully purchase the United States of America – do we, the rest of the world, have a hope in hell of remaining free people? And is there a route out of this mess? Or are we hurtling inevitably to a future of an invalidated Magna Carta?
And this is where I thank God that I was born and raised here, rather than on that continent of those united states. If that were Africa – with all the information on the “irregularities” available online, that capitol building would today be ashes. There would be no votes to count as they would all have been burnt to a crisp. The people would have spoken and most likely, with fire. Africa loves fire, it burns away the rot.
So the knife-edge we live on no longer seems such a burden. Our politicians steal better for the most part, they hide their “irregularities” better and our ballots are always paper. There are no machines to be hacked and after this, I’m sure there never will be. I do have a question though, something I’ve ruminated on for a few years now. We all have to go through a RICA/FICA process when we get cell phones and our bank accounts have so much red tape. So if our banking systems are secure – could we not add a page to our banking platforms and vote through those? Or through our cellular platforms? Combine that with in-person voting and I think you have massive voter turn-out. Not sure if the US Citizens have the same structure but surely most legal people have bank accounts that have layers of protection, why not vote through those platforms? If not – how exactly is technology working FOR us?
And now there’s a Hullabaloo about a few thousand unhappy American people storming the Capitol Building where some of the intruders went to the Senate room to what – pray? Wow. With all that’s been going on over there we here sit in wonder that it wasn’t all the hundreds of thousands and that people didn’t start setting fire to buildings 4 weeks ago – but then it’s the USA and not Africa. But in Africa I promise you, you could never get away with this level of blatant illegality without rolling out the military.
So is the illusion of the “American Dream” really such a blessing if the whole country is willing to sell their souls in the hope of maintaining the “status quo” – or at least a recognizable version of it? We can tell you from our view over the waters that you will not have a 2024 election, or not anything you would recognize as such. If the USA continues on this path, you’ll be trailing behind Africa for decades to try to regain some semblance of the USA that you once knew, and we hope and pray for you that after the trails ahead there is something better for you waiting beyond the horizon, but my guess is that by then all the “things” you sold out to protect wont feel that important.
Here in Africa life is seldom fair, justice is an elusive warthog and people are impoverished and weary. But I say with pride today that without significant threat to people’s physical safety, what is going on in the USA would never stand for one day here. Not because our politicians are not corrupt, they are, but our people have overcome too much, survived through too much and are just about uncomfortable enough not to be lulled into accepting such blatant “irregularities”.
And so the scales tip. For once it is our lack of prosperity, our lack of sophistication that wins the day. We would not stand for what you are (for the most part) silently enduring, and I have to believe that we’re are better off for it.
We all want peace. We all want to live prosperous, purposeful lives. What we know absolutely, here in Africa, is that bowing to the dishonorable, is never the path that gets us there and we see now the true cost of all your civilization.
